We’re delighted to be revealing the jam-packed Rooted – it’s big, it’s bold and the very best of Black cultural programming!
Rooted is at the heart of our mission to champion, protect and preserve culture, heritage and arts in Leeds and the wider Yorkshire & Humber with Black British, Caribbean and African diaspora storytelling and narratives given the spotlight, respect and recognition they deserve.
Running from October’s Black History Month 2025 to Spring 2026, we’re sure that Rooted will whet your appetites. From literary giants and powerhouse voices to a celebration of Black writing that children can see themselves in, Rooted is a welcome home and place for Black storytelling in the North – and that’s just for starters!
